Sugg Farm Park to add one-acre dog park
After receiving public feedback and a recommendation from the Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee, the town is moving forward with the construction of a pre-fabricated restroom facility with accessible parking and an approximately one (1) acre dog park to located at Sugg Farm Park.
The restroom building includes single-gender restrooms, a separate family restroom, and a small office for park staff. A 23 car gravel parking lot and 4 paved, accessible parking spots will also be constructed to serve both the restroom building and the dog park.
The dog park is currently under design and seeking public input (https://publicinput.com/G382) through the end of May 2020. The town is planning for a one-acre dog park that will have separate areas for large and small dogs, a dog-friendly water fountain, shade from the existing tree canopy, and pedestrian benches. More information will be available at the conclusion of the public input opportunity.
